Meet Dr. Kelly Ruther
Founder, Physical Therapist, PT, DPT, FMT
My education began in my hometown at Hope College, where I graduated with a Kinesiology and Exercise Science degree. I earned my doctorate in Physical Therapy at Midwestern University in Arizona. Since then, I’ve had advanced training in manual therapy, postural restoration, pelvic floor physical therapy, and dry needling.
My passion is to get you back to doing what you love most and feeling better than you thought possible. I’ll devote a significant amount of time helping you understand your body, why you have dysfunction or pain, and teaching you strategies and exercises to integrate throughout your day.

Meet Dr. Marissa Zolton
Occupational Therapist, OTD, OTRL
I began my journey in healthcare at Grand Valley State University, where I graduated with a degree in therapeutic recreation. I furthered my education at Huntington University, earning my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Since graduating, I've pursued additional training in orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, neuro-sensory therapy, postural restoration, pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercises, and pelvic floor therapy.
My goal is to listen to your story, understand your goals, and empower you to return to your passions. I firmly believe in the body’s innate ability to heal itself and will dedicate my time and expertise to help you address the root of your pain. Together, we will work towards understanding your body, identifying the source of your symptoms, and educating you on exercises and techniques to manage your pain on a daily basis.
Meet Pete Ruther
Co-Founder, Business Manager
As a History graduate from Illinois Wesleyan University, my path to healthcare wasn't conventional. After suffering a major knee injury during football (tore ACL, MCL, LCLs, PCL, and cracked my femur), I struggled with chronic pain despite numerous physical therapy treatments. I had resigned myself to living in discomfort until my wife, Dr. Kelly Ruther, introduced me to her innovative techniques. Her approach provided significant relief quickly, showing me that traditional physical therapy methods could be improved upon. This revelation, coupled with our shared belief that women deserve better pelvic health care, inspired us to co-found Ruther Health in 2021.
I joined Ruther Health full-time in 2024, bringing a decade of exceptional customer service experience from my previous career. I now manage our daily operations and scheduling. My mission is to ensure every patient has the opportunity to experience these same transformative techniques. I'm committed to creating an environment where patients feel truly valued, delivering an unparalleled customer experience that complements our exceptional clinical care.
