Weeks 1–2
Pain
Calm the pain down.
Hands-on work and joint mobilization to settle the irritated tissue and get you through a night without waking up on that side.
What We Treat
That pinch when you cross your legs to tie your shoes. Aching at night on one side. The hip is often compensating for something else.

Why It Happens
Hip pain comes from a handful of usual suspects: bursitis irritated by repeated load, a labrum that has been pinched by poor joint mechanics, hip flexors that are short and overworking, and glutes that quietly stopped contributing. Very often the hip is not the origin, it is the joint absorbing what the back or the foot is not handling.
That is why a hip stretch helps for an hour. A cause-first evaluation checks the joint itself and the chain above and below it, so the thing you treat is the thing that is actually causing it.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like for hip pain.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Hands-on work and joint mobilization to settle the irritated tissue and get you through a night without waking up on that side.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Restore range at the joint and release the hip flexors that have been holding the front of the hip short.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Progressive glute and deep hip strengthening, because a hip that is properly supported stops getting pinched.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
Gait, load and the specific work that keeps this hip quiet through a long walk, a shift or a season.
Most people who come here have already been somewhere else. The difference is not effort, it is the evaluation: we look for what is causing it, then build a plan with an endpoint.

Questions, Answered
The sciatic nerve runs from the lower spine through the hip and down the leg, so joint dysfunction or tight muscles in that area can compress or irritate it. It also means the hip is not always the origin, which is exactly why the evaluation looks at the back as well.
Usually not. A hands-on evaluation tells us how the joint is actually moving, which an image cannot. If your history or findings suggest imaging is genuinely needed, we will help you get it rather than guess.
Most people feel meaningful change within 4 to 6 visits. A full plan runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, typically over 6 to 12 weeks. You will always know which phase you are in and what is left.
