Weeks 1–2
Pain
Calm the pain down.
Hands-on release of the neck and skull-base muscles that are referring pain into your head, starting your first visit.
What We Treat
Most headaches are not a head problem. They start in the neck and shoulders, in muscle tension and joints that stopped moving well. That is treatable.

Why It Happens
The majority of headaches we see start below the neckline. Tight muscles at the base of the skull, cervical joints that stopped moving, a mid back locked into one position, and a jaw that clenches through the night all refer pain directly into the head.
That is why medication helps for an afternoon and changes nothing by Thursday. It is treating the symptom at the top while the cause sits lower down. A cause-first evaluation finds which structure is actually referring the pain, and that is the thing we treat.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like for headaches.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Hands-on release of the neck and skull-base muscles that are referring pain into your head, starting your first visit.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Restore movement in the cervical joints and the mid back, so your head stops being held up by muscles that were never meant to do it.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Build the postural endurance that keeps the trigger from rebuilding across a working week.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
The handful of adjustments to your desk, your sleep position and your day that keep the frequency down for good.
Most people who come here have already been somewhere else. The difference is not effort, it is the evaluation: we look for what is causing it, then build a plan with an endpoint.

Questions, Answered
It can help a great deal when the neck is part of the picture, which it very often is. We treat cervicogenic headaches, tension headaches and migraines that are made worse by neck tension. We will tell you honestly at the evaluation whether yours looks like the kind we can move.
Medication manages the symptom, which is useful, but it does not change what is referring the pain. This works at the cause: the joints, muscles and movement patterns creating it. That is a different job, and it is why the result tends to last.
Most people feel relief within 4 to 6 weeks. A full plan runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, and significant long-term change usually lands in the 3 to 6 month range for stubborn cases. You will know which phase you are in the whole way through.
