What We Treat

Neck pain treatment in Holland.

The ache that starts at your desk and follows you home. Stiffness turning to check your blind spot. We look at why your neck is loaded that way, not just where it hurts.

Sound Familiar?

Does this sound like you?

  • Turning to check your blind spot in three small movements instead of one
  • That knot between your shoulder blades that shows up by 3pm every day
  • Waking up with a neck that decides what kind of day you get
  • Tingling into the arm or hand that you have started explaining away
  • Holding your phone up at eye level because looking down costs you
  • Rolling your shoulders in a meeting and hoping nobody notices

Why It Happens

A stiff neck is a symptom. Something is loading it.

Necks rarely hurt on their own. Usually it is some mix of joints in the cervical spine that stopped moving well, deep neck muscles that quietly gave up their job, a mid back that went rigid and handed the work upward, and eight hours a day in a position your body never agreed to.

None of that shows on a quick glance, and none of it is fixed by a stretch you found online. A cause-first evaluation sorts out which of those is actually driving it. Get that right and the neck stops being the thing you plan your day around.

The Honest Truth

A neck does not quietly sort itself out.

If you keep waiting

  • The shoulder and upper back start compensating, then start hurting too
  • Headaches move from occasional to most weeks
  • Numbness into the arm gets easier to ignore and harder to reverse

If you start this week

  • You know the actual cause by the end of visit one
  • Hands-on relief starts before you leave the building
  • The headaches usually settle as the neck starts moving again

Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.

How We Fix It

The same four phases. Built for a neck.

Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like for neck pain.

Weeks 1–2

Pain

Calm the pain down.

Hands-on work on the joints and muscles that are guarding, so the neck stops bracing all day. Relief starts on visit one.

Weeks 2–6

Prime

Get your motion back.

Restore rotation and extension in the segments that stopped moving, and retrain the deep neck muscles that stopped holding you up.

Weeks 6–10

Perform

Make it strong enough to trust.

Build endurance in the neck and mid back so a long day at a desk stops being the thing that sets it off.

Weeks 10+

Prevent

Keep it from coming back.

Your setup, your habits and the two or three things that actually keep this neck quiet, so you do not end up back here.

The staff is aligned in treating the body as a whole. My husband goes for pain in the neck and hands, related to his work. I go for more women’s pelvic health.

Questions, Answered

What people ask before booking for neck pain.

Usually not, and it is rarely the first step. A hands-on evaluation tells us more about how your neck is moving than a still image does. If imaging ever becomes genuinely necessary we will help you get it, but you do not have to wait on a scan to start feeling better.

It is extremely common, and it is treatable. Tension in the neck and the joints at the base of the skull refer pain straight into the head. When the neck starts moving properly the headaches usually settle with it.

Most people feel meaningful change within 4 to 6 visits. A full plan runs through all four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform and Prevent, typically over 6 to 12 weeks depending on how long you have had it. Either way you get a plan with an endpoint, not an open-ended string of appointments.
