Weeks 1–2
Pain
Calm the pain down.
Hands-on work to release the muscular strain that builds on one side of a curve, so being upright stops costing so much.
What We Treat
Physical therapy does not reverse a curve. It does reduce pain, improve how you move around the curve, and slow progression. That is worth a lot.

Why It Happens
Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine, most often identified in adolescence but very much a thing adults live with too. The curve itself is structural. The pain, the fatigue, the restricted movement and the postural strain built around it are not, and those are the parts that respond to treatment.
We will be straight with you: physical therapy does not reverse a curve. What it does is reduce pain, improve how well you move around the curve, build the strength that supports it, and slow progression. For adolescents that means early intervention and posture training. For adults it means pain management and keeping function.
The Honest Truth
Nobody regrets starting too early. Every week, someone in our clinic says they regret waiting.
How We Fix It
Every plan has an endpoint. Here is what the four phases look like for scoliosis rehabilitation.
Weeks 1–2
Pain
Hands-on work to release the muscular strain that builds on one side of a curve, so being upright stops costing so much.
Weeks 2–6
Prime
Restore movement in the segments that have stiffened, and start the posture training that the rest of the plan builds on.
Weeks 6–10
Perform
Core and postural strengthening built specifically around your curve, not a generic back programme.
Weeks 10+
Prevent
A long-term home programme, because scoliosis is managed rather than cured, and the maintenance is what holds the gains.
Most people who come here have already been somewhere else. The difference is not effort, it is the evaluation: we look for what is causing it, then build a plan with an endpoint.

Questions, Answered
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. Physical therapy does not reverse a curve. It reduces pain, improves posture and mobility, builds supporting strength, and slows progression. Those are real, meaningful outcomes, and they are what we can honestly promise.
Yes. Adults with scoliosis often get told the window has closed, which is not true for pain and function. Treatment focused on pain relief, mobility and postural strength helps at any age, and it is usually the difference between managing a curve and being limited by one.
Most people attend two to three times a week for six to eight weeks, then move to a long-term maintenance plan with home exercises. Progress depends on the severity of the curve and on what you are trying to get back to.
